2024-25 Football League Season

 A Thrilling Finale

The 2024-25 English football season was a whirlwind of drama, with the Premier League and EFL delivering unforgettable moments. Liverpool clinched the Premier League title under Arne Slot, thrashing Tottenham 5-1 to equal Manchester United’s 20 top-flight crowns, while Crystal Palace stunned Manchester City 2-1 to lift the FA Cup. In the Championship, Leeds United and Burnley stormed to automatic promotion, with Sunderland sealing a triumphant Premier League return via a 2-1 playoff final win over Sheffield United, capped by Tom Watson’s 95th-minute heroics. Southampton, Leicester City, and Ipswich Town faced heartbreak, relegated to the Championship after valiant but futile battles.

Further down the pyramid, Birmingham City smashed records with 111 points to claim League One, joined by Wrexham’s historic third consecutive promotion and Charlton Athletic via the playoffs. Doncaster Rovers, Port Vale, and Bradford City ascended from League Two, while Shrewsbury Town, Cambridge United, Crawley Town, and Bristol Rovers dropped down.

A massive congratulations to Sunderland for their Premier League comeback—here’s to more magic in 2025-26
